2007 Gun Show Vendor Rules.
- Federal Firearms License:You must possess a current valid Federal Firearms License to buy, sell, trade, or in any way traffic in modern firearms at the Bangor Gun Show. Dealers in antique firearms are exempt from this requirement only when dealing in antique firearms. Provide a copy of your current FFL with your application. If your license expires between the time you mail in your application and the date of the show, bring a current license with you to the show.
- Setup Information: Dealers must be open for business each day by 9:00 a.m. and remain open throughout the show hours. Do not tear down your display prior to 2:00 p.m. Sunday. Show hours for the public are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday. If you have not arrived by 8:30 a.m. Saturday and you have not contacted the Show Coordinator, your table may be sold. If we are able to re-sell your table you may be reimbursed.
- Tables: All tables are 8' by 2½' and must be covered with an appropriate tablecloth (not provided by PCCA). The use of all tables is the property of PCCA and may not be sold, transferred, or shared without written permission of PCCA. Location of table assignments is at the discretion of the PCCA.
- Prohibited Items: Jewelry, coins, cameras, fishing equipment, martial arts weapons and flea market type items are prohibited. If you have doubts as to the appropriateness of specific items, please ask.
- Ammunition: All ammunition must be in a container. This does not necessarily mean the original box, but the intent is that ammunition not be left open and loose for anyone to have easy access.
- Gun Powder: No black powder allowed. Any display of smokeless powder (up to 20 pounds per vendor) must be in approved one-pound containers. Smokeless powder displays by any vendor in excess of 20 pounds are not permitted. No vendor may display more than 5 pounds of Pyrodex and it must be in sealed containers.
- Safety: Security coverage will be provided continuously from 1:00 p.m. Friday to 3:00 p.m. Sunday. LOADED FIREARMS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED IN THE FACILITY WHETHER BY EXHIBITOR OR VISITOR, REGARDLESS OF CONCEALED FIREARMS PERMITS. All firearms will be rendered inoperable by safety ties. We will provide the ties. Also, no pets will be allowed in the facility.
- Badges: Each dealer will be provided badges (usually two or three) which must be worn at all times. If you have a special need for additional badges, please state the reason on your request or see the Show Coordinator. As an exhibitor, you are responsible for anyone using a badge assigned to you. The control over badges is for your protection and for the protection of your merchandise.
- Tags: A supply of coded tags will be provided for your use in identifying items sold to the public. Please have some idea of the number of tags you will need.
- Cancellations: Cancellations must be received in writing no later than two weeks prior to the show. Deposits will be refunded if the show is a sell-out and PCCA can re-sell the tables.
- Security: We will have private (Bass Park) security personnel present throughout the show. This will include overnight security. Regardless, neither Bass Park Complex, the City of Bangor, the Penobscot County Conservation Association, nor the Show Coordinator is responsible for loss or damage to the dealer's/exhibitor's merchandise. The dealer/exhibitor specifically agrees to defend and hold harmless the Bass Park Complex, the City of Bangor, the Penobscot County Conservation Association, and the Show Coordinator from all claims for bodily injury and/or property loss or damage arising out of the dealer's/exhibitor's participation in the show.
- Conduct: Dealers/exhibitors will not solicit purchases from the public in the parking lot, show facility entrances, snack bars, or firearms check in areas. The use of alcohol is not consistent with firearms safety, therefore no alcoholic beverages will be present or consumed at the Bangor Auditorium. Any incidence of unprofessional or unethical business practices or conduct or violation of state, local, or federal laws will be considered due cause by the PCCA for removal from the show and refusal of space for any future show.
