December 2005 Newsletter

President: Woody Higgins
Meeting date December 1, 2005

A New England boiled dinner will be served at 7 pm. Guest speaker will be Ruth Perry, fish biologist. The shooting gallery will be open in the downstairs range from 6 pm until suppertime.

The turkey shoot prior to the November meeting was a success. Patty and Steve Forrest’s son Clayton was the big winner. Clayton also won first choice in the fly rod/canoe raffle and chose the fly rod. The canoe was won by Jan Logan.

If any members have suggestions for new shooting gallery games or competitions, please see Charlie Rumsey.

There was a workday at Greenland Point on November 13. Many thanks to Zeke Leighton, John Anderson, Scott Wilson, Woody Higgins, Al Faust and Glenn Prewitt for their work on the cabin. They report that the cabin adopted by PCCA is coming along nicely.

There will be a GPS course held at the club house in January for members only. If you have interest or a question see Jay Munson. Cost will be $50 (one-half the usual fee, and your current paid membership card).

Dick Ireland is still looking for Club members (and Guests) interested in attending a 10 hour NRA Basic Pistol Course. A date for the course will be established when we have enough participants signed up. Cost will be $25 for current members, $50 for guests. See Dick or Charlie Rumsey if you are interested.

If you have not paid your club dues yet, please see Dola Hinckley or Kelley Munson.

We could still use more help at Bingo on Tuesday night. Please consider devoting a few hours a month to this. It is one of PCCA’s biggest income producers, and proceeds support sending children to conservation camp. It is easy work and you’ll be among friends.

Merry Christmas and best wishes for a Happy and Healthy new year!!!
