Presidential Ramblings:
By: Jay Munson
It doesn’t seem possible but here we are at another Sportsman’s Show. Woody and Nancy have done a great job putting this event together. As of this writing, I believe we only have 6 or 8 booths left to fill. We are still looking for help with many of the responsibilities that go along with the show. Anyone who has not signed up to help please do so, there is plenty of work to be done. To sign up, please call Jan Logan at 843-6246.
Supper Meeting: First Thursday of each month, 6:00 P.M. at the clubhouse
The meal this month will be Smothered Beef. This month we will be hosting the Scholarship recipients from Unity College.
I would like to encourage all of you to please attempt to make the meeting as this is your opportunity to not only catch up on old friendships and current events with in the club, but this is also your opportunity to express your cares and concerns reference the club and the direction it is headed in.
Club Activities:
The Sportsman’s Show is coming right up. The dates of the 2008 show are March 14th through the 16th. Please see Woody or myself if you are able to assist in anyway with the show.
We are beginning to prepare for the clubs 2nd annual yard sale on April 19th at the clubhouse. We will be accepting donations of all sorts. (Please see attached list) We would ask that anyone wishing to donate items please wait until after the Sportsman’s Show before bring the items to the club. We will also be looking for volunteers to help set up on the 18th.
Annual Duck Box cleaning project at Stetson Land, Saturday, March 8. Barry would like to meet at 9:00 at the end of plowed road by the muzzleloaders range. Bring snowsleds and tote sleds, if available. See BarryBurgason at the club meeting; give him a call (827-6232) or email (b.burgason@verizon.net) for questions or to let him know you are planning to attend.
I would also like to mention that Charlie is organizing another Friend’s of the NRA banquet. I know this is not a so called club event but I think that it is a worth while event that deserves mentioning. The banquet will be on April 16th, please see Charlie for more info and tickets.
