Presidential Ramblings:
By: Jay Munson

We are fast approaching the end of another year here at the Conservation Club. Summer’s official start is just a few weeks away and we are already at our June meeting. I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who helped one way or another this year at the club. This was another successful year made possible by the volunteers. If you did not get a chance to help out this year, please try to make plans to help us starting this summer with our golf tournament.

Now that fishing season has really got going, I wish all of you luck on the water this year. I would like to take a moment to mention that one of our members has already landed an Atlantic Salmon this year. Dave Worchester caught a 9 lbs Salmon at the Eddington Salmon Club this past Monday. Congratulations Dave on your catch.

Supper Meeting: First Thursday of each month, 6:00 P.M. at the clubhouse

The meal this month will be Chicken and Ribs.
This month we will have the appointment of new officers. After the appointments, Travis Roy from the Maine Youth Fish and Game Association will be speaking about their upcoming summer events and the vast array of programs the will have at their facility this year for the children. Please plan to attend as this is one of the organizations we support. This will give you an opportunity to hear about some of the good things our fundraising does.

I would like to take this time to remind everyone that it is that time of year again when dues are due. Please be sure to remit your dues to a membership committee member. Membership Committee members are Dola Hinkley and Kelly Munson. The annual dues are $25.00 for an individual and $45.00 for a family membership.

If anyone has a suggestion for speakers next year, or a specific topic they would like to hear about, please see Deane Smith. Deane will be coordinating the speakers for me again next year.

Club Activities:

The date for the second annual PCCA Golf Tournament is Aug 2nd. The details are coming together very well so far. We have the Brewer Wal-Mart as our corporate sponsor again this year and B&D Marine has agreed to sponsor the hole in one contest again. Many of the teams that played in last year’s tournament have already been asking to get signed up again this year. If any of you know a company who would be willing to sponsor a hole, please have them contact me at the club and I can give them the details or I can get you the Sponsor Letter that I have been using.

Camp clean up will be held on June 8th this year, if you have the time please plan on coming out for a while and helping out. I t is also a great time to socialize.
I am sorry to have to announce the yard sale that was planned for June 7th has been cancelled due to lack of donated items.

Work Days:

Every 2nd and 4th Tuesday at the clubhouse at 6:00 P.M.

Camp Clean up June 8th at 9 A.M.
