Presidential Ramblings:
By: Jay Munson
The holidays are once again upon us and by the time this newsletter reaches everyone, Thanksgiving will have come and gone. Christmas will be upon us and the next thing we know it will be 2009. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
Supper Meeting: First Thursday of each month, 6:00 P.M. at the clubhouse
December regular meeting will be December 4th. The meal will be a bean supper with hot dogs and various casseroles. The guest speaker will be Peter Seehausen of Wicked Whitetails. His topic will be “Quality Deer Management.” He will also be there to answer any questions you might have.
Club Activities:
The Princeton Rod & Gun Club will hold a Roast Beef and Turkey supper to benefit Greenland Point activities on Saturday, February 7th, 2009 at 5:00 PM. Carpooling will be available from PCCA parking lot at 3:00 PM. Points of contact are Al Faust and Woody Higgins.
The board has discussed the possibility of holding a “Texas Hold ’em” tournament as a fundraiser. We would like to know if there are any members out there that have some knowledge of the game and running a tournament of this type. If you have some knowledge and are willing to help, please see John Merrill about putting this together.
We are gearing up for the 2009 Sportsman’s Show. We are excited about this year’s show as we have some pretty significant changes. The dates of the show will be March 13th 14th and 15th, 2009. As always we will be looking for help.
We would also like the members to talk to people about joining the club. We are looking for people who support our endeavors who are also willing to volunteer their time and take some of the burden off from the same 10 to 15 people who are the back bone of the club.
Work Days: Every 2nd and 4th Tuesday at the clubhouse at 6:00 P.M.
