President’s Message – AlFaust
This fall is starting off on a bright note. The weather has improved, the first frost held off, and the Gun Show was a success. Many thanks to all the members who helped. Due to many other activities going on in the Bangor area, we were a little short on Saturday. All needs were covered, but folks had longer shifts than we would have liked. The good news is we had several new members step up. Attendance was up and the vendors were happy with their buying. I actually found some 45 Long Colt ammo. We saw some unusual guns come through the doors. The club has a lot going on in October, Hunter breakfast and clay target shoot in Stetson, Hunter Safety weekend in Brewer and a member only pistol class in Brewer. Hunter Safety and the breakfast will be good opportunities to get youth involved. Come on out! Al
What’s Happening?
September was a busy month for the kitchen crew and catering personnel. There were many activities both in the club building and some where services were provided at other locations. If you are able and interested in helping, please contact Nancy Hatch. She coordinates this effort. A big Thank You to everyone who worked last month!
The 32nd Annual Gun Show, lead by Charlie Rumsey, was held September 12th and 13th. The weather was beautiful and many people enjoyed the event. Thank you to Charlie and all the members who assisted and helped staff this event. Large productions and shows would not be possible without the participation of the membership.
